Yu-na good but not great in short program

Reigning Olympic champion Kim Yu-na put on a solid performance at the World Figure Skating Championships Friday, scoring 69.97 points on the short program. However, the mark as significantly off her personal best of 78.50 she set during her Olympic run, which remains as the world record in the women’s short program. Kim owns the second-best score in ladies' figure skating this season with 201.61 points, set at the NRW Trophy, and also holds the world records with 150.06 points in free skating and 228.56 points in total score, all established at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics.
